Are you passionate about starting a rewarding career in healthcare? If you don't have at least 6 months of experience as a Healthcare Assistant in the UK within the last 2 years, Karisa Healthcare Training Academy is here to help. Our comprehensive program will equip you with the experience, skills, training, and mentoring you need to succeed.

Your Path to Becoming a Healthcare Assistant:

1. Attend an Assessment Centre: This is your first step to evaluate your suitability and commitment, but also find out all the information on what the role of a Healthcare Assistant entails.
2. Complete Compliance Requirements: This includes DBS checks, references, and online training.
3. Participate in Practical Moving & Handling Training: Gain hands-on experience in essential techniques in moving people safely within the care sector.
4. Attend Infection Prevention Control Training: Learn critical procedures to ensure safety and hygiene.
5. Complete 50 Hours of Voluntary Shadowing: Get real-world experience by shadowing experienced professionals within care homes.
6. Sign-Off Meeting: After completing the above steps, attend a final meeting to be approved for work.

Throughout this process, you'll be guided by Wendy Broom, our Training Academy Lead. Wendy is a former nurse and home manager with extensive experience in healthcare. She will mentor and support you every step of the way.
